v2.0! And a new supplement for purchasers!
Hello everybody!
Massive thanks to everybody who has supported this project so far. All the downloaders, buyers and sharers: I Am Forever In Your Debt
I actually got this huge burst of energy after seeing a second purchase of it (which means a lot when the purchase is optional!) and I implemented a bunch of changes I've had in my head since the original release a few months back.
The biggest change is a new 10 page document of d66 tables to help inspire culinary adventures. There's tables for rolling up new species, thinking up recipes on the fly and two mahoosive lists of characters and scenarios that would complement the playbook well. This is gonna be an extra treat for folks who pay at the recommended donation level (the absolutely bargain $2).
But for everybody else, don't fret! V2.0 of the playbook includes a bunch of rewrites for clarity, tidying up of all formatting issues and, the biggest change, I've decoupled background abilities from race. I always find high fantasy's choice of bioessentialist "this race does this thing" a bit...icky...so the abilities are now tied to your culinary origins, with the race choice being purely aesthetic. But this has also let me add a few extra races, including "Talking Rat", and a new background, "Battle Chef".
Anyway, I hope yous enjoy the changes, and I hope you'll maybe consider picking up the Spotter's Guide to squeeze even more zest out of the playbook. Thanks!
